Presenters:
Al Coddington, the owner and principal of Coddington Consulting, has a proven track record of developing and implementing growth strategies for businesses and tapping into new markets. He advises companies on turn-around strategies, new business development and capital formation. He is a licensed brokers’ agent for Gottesman & Company Mergers and Acquisitions, California Professional Acquisitions and is a member of the California Association of Business Brokers.

Christine Jager, Coddington Consulting Associate, is a project management, marketing, merchandising. inventory liquidation specialist and public speaking trainer.

Susan Tollefson, Coddington Consulting Associate, is an inventory, purchasing and supply chain management specialist.

Join us for a four-star panel discussion on this topic from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, September 20, 2006 at the offices of Merrill Lynch in Mill Valley.

Co-hosted by the Mill Valley and Sausalito Chambers of Commerce, the event starts with networking with the panel discussion to follow.

About the Speakers:

Bruce W. Blakely
A Mill Valley trial attorney, Bruce has  practiced law for over 24 years specializing in civil litigation, real estate, contracts, and probate litigation.  Following his  1978 graduation from  Stanford University with a bachelor’s of science degree in  Philosophy, with Honors,  Bruce studied as a Fulbright Scholar at the University of Freiburg in West Germany from 1978 to 1979.  He subsequently served on the Law Review of U.C. Berkeley's Boalt Hall School of Law before graduating there in 1982.  Coming to practice in Marin County in 1989, Bruce has tried dozens of cases in the Bay Area, before arbitrators, judges, and juries.  He also acts as a Judge Pro Tempore for the Marin County Superior Court. Bruce’s personal interests include commercial aviation as a licensed pilot, and championship bridge.

Al Coddington
Al is an agent for the business brokerage firm of California Professional Acquisitions, in Novato. He helps people buy and sell businesses. Al Coddington also helps business owners as a consultant in exit and succession planning.A newspaper columnist, Al’s weekly tips for enhancing business value and selling businesses appear in The Novato Advance, an award winning community newspaper. Al provides help with exit planning, capital acquisition and general business planning.

Mark Stevenson
Vice President of Merrill Lynch Business Financial Services – Mark and his team are focused on providing strategic advice to business owners in the areas of financing, corporate cash management and ownership succession, in ways that helps growing companies and finds solutions to optimize business success.   Offering more than 20 years experience in commercial finance and banking, Mark works with a diverse spectrum of markets and industries.  He has expertise in structuring a variety of business financial transactions across a wide range of company sizes and situations.  Mark has a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the University of Oregon and an MBA from the University of Washington.

Keith Stoneking, CPA
As a sole proprietor, Keith does tax preparation and planning, compilation and review, litigation and mediation.  Additionally, his certification as a mediator has led him to offer litigation services in the areas of family law, business acquisitions, business valuations, tax fraud, fraud and accounting issues.  Before  establishing his own practice in 1982, Keith worked for or was engaged by various companies including Bechtel Corporation, Wells Fargo Bank, Provident Credit Union and Regency Development Company.  He has been qualified as an expert in the Superior Courts of Alameda, Marin, and San Francisco counties. Finally, Keith is an established mediator for the Superior Court County of Nevada and the United States Bankruptcy Court. Earning his  bachelors of science degree in Accounting from California State University Long Beach, Keith subsequently earned  a Masters of Business Administration in General Management from Golden Gate University San Francisco.
